Condition: This recorder powers on successfully and the front panel buttons respond as expected. However, the tape mechanism is not working, and the cassette does not play, fast forward or rewind. The Marantz CP230 is a vintage professional portable stereo cassette recorder designed for field recording, broadcasting and location audio applications. Known for its robust construction and high-quality audio performance, it features Dolby Noise Reduction, manual recording level controls and professional audio connections. 

This unit powers on but requires repair to the tape transport (tape mechanism / pins), making it an excellent restoration project or source of genuine replacement parts.
