Up for sale is an authentic vintage Japanese Buddhist talisman featuring genuine antique Edo-period copper coins ("Kanei Tsuho" / 寛永通宝) arranged as a Rokumonsen (Six Coins / 六文銭) set.
This special set was officially issued and blessed at Mt. Hiei Enryakuji Temple (比叡山延暦寺), a world-renowned UNESCO World Heritage Buddhist temple in Japan. The set includes original Japanese explanatory paperwork, yellow cloth, and the original temple box.
In Japanese history and Buddhist traditions, the Rokumonsen symbol represents protection, good fortune, and longevity, and is famously known as the crest of samurai warrior Sanada Yukimura. A fantastic piece for collectors of Asian antiques, ancient coinage, and sacred spiritual artifacts.
