Offered for sale is a rare original 1968 Weber “The Mediterranean” 18.5-inch charcoal kettle barbecue in the iconic Avocado Green porcelain enamel finish.

Weber designated this model JBK-340 in its period catalogue. It remains in original, unrestored condition and presents exceptionally well for a kettle approaching 60 years of age.

The avocado porcelain finish retains excellent colour and gloss. The lid and bowl appear straight, and the kettle retains its early timber lid handle, metal bowl handles, period-style lid and bowl vents, aluminium ash catcher, triangular wire storage rack and whitewall-style wheels.

There are minor enamel chips, scratches, marks and age-related wear, including a visible chip near the bowl/lid rim. These imperfections have been left untouched to preserve the kettle’s originality.

This is a highly attractive display piece and would suit a vintage Weber collector, period outdoor setting or continued use following the buyer’s own safety inspection.
