Pokémon Gold Version – Authentic Nintendo Game Boy Color Cartridge

Embark on one of the greatest adventures in Pokémon history. Pokémon Gold introduced the Johto region, 100 new Pokémon, the real-time day/night system, breeding, held items, and the unforgettable journey back through Kanto after defeating the Elite Four. More than 25 years later, it remains one of the most beloved RPGs ever released for the Game Boy Color.

Abel’s Vault Premium Restoration Process

Unlike many listings that simply state “tested,” every battery-powered cartridge I sell undergoes a meticulous refurbishment process.

This cartridge received:

* Complete cartridge disassembly

* Deep cleaning of the OEM shell using 99% Isopropyl Alcohol

* Thorough cleaning of the original Nintendo PCB using 99% Isopropyl Alcohol

* Cartridge edge contacts treated with DeoxIT D100L followed by DeoxIT Gold to maximize conductivity while helping prevent future oxidation and corrosion

* Professional installation of a brand-new Jauch Quartz CR2025 battery on July 20, 2026

* Battery tested immediately after installation and measured 3.323V

* Multiple gameplay tests

* Save function verified

* Real-Time Clock (RTC) verified to ensure the day/night cycle functions properly

Every restoration is performed with long-term reliability in mind—not simply to get the game working today.

Why a New Battery Matters

Pokémon Gold relies on an internal battery for both save data and its famous Real-Time Clock.

A failing battery can result in:

* Lost save files

* Non-functioning day/night cycle

* Time-based events no longer working

This cartridge has already received a professionally installed premium Jauch Quartz battery, so you won’t need to worry about replacing it yourself for years to come.

⸻

Authenticity Guarantee

This is NOT a reproduction.

Included photos document:

* Authentic Nintendo PCB

* Original Nintendo shell

* Original factory components

* Gameplay verification

Buy with confidence knowing you’re receiving a genuine Pokémon Gold cartridge.
