Description
This walking stick features an intricate hand-carved donkey handle wearing a tasselled headcollar, with original glass eyes.
There is a button to the back of the donkey which, when pressed, causes his tongue to protrude from his mouth.
The handle is furnished with a silver collar hallmarked:

Charles Henry Dumemill
Charles Henry Dumenil was one of Briggs silversmiths throughout the early 1900s and is noted on page 103 of the ‘In Good Hands – Swaine Adeney Brigg’ book by Katherine Prior.
