The working principle of a water hammer pump is to use the water hammer effect to convert kinetic energy into pressure energy, thereby achieving water lifting. Specifically:
When water with a certain drop flows into the water hammer pump through the inlet pipe, the drain valve will operate back and forth to open and close under human control or water flow.
When the pressure inside the drain valve increases beyond its spring pressure, the flowing water will push the drain valve to quickly close. At this time, the water pressure inside the pump body rises sharply, producing a water hammer effect.
High pressure water flow will impact and apply pressure in all directions, forcing the water delivery valve to open, and some water will be pressurized into the pressure tank or buffer cylinder.
Subsequently, the drain valve reopened under the action of the spring and negative pressure, while the water delivery valve reopened under the action of its own weight, spring pressure, and water pressure in the buffer cylinder.
Under the action of water flow, the above actions will automatically run repeatedly. When the water pressure inside the pressure tank or buffer cylinder increases to a level greater than the pressure inside the lifting pipe, water will flow out from the outlet.
In general, water hammer pumps rely on the high pressure generated by the sudden obstruction of water flow to lift water.

Installation Instruction:
1. Install the water pump at a height higher than the water source (drop), with a drop of 1 to 12 meters, preferably 3 to 7 meters. The inlet and outlet pipes must be connected properly, and the inlet must be installed with a hard pipe at a downward slope, without sharp turns (preferably not turning). Water can be discharged using a hose.
2. Open the inlet valve and allow water to flow into the water hammer pump.
3. Close the outlet valve and keep the drain valve closed
4. Press the drain valve screw multiple times in a row to start, until it can work and jump on its own.
5. Slowly open the outlet valve to a certain position (open the large valve for high lift and the small valve for low lift, according to the actual situation) and continue working continuously. If it stops working, return to the operating program and restart.
6. Adjust the weight of the movable tongue inside the drain valve based on the drop (it is best to adjust the weight to the point where the movable tongue of the drain valve jumps every second during machine operation)

This device does not require electricity or oil.but it requires a certain height difference in the inlet water, and some water is lost due to water loss. The outlet water flow is not large and cannot be compared with that of plug-in and oil burning water pumps.
