**Description:**
Up for sale is a beautiful, highly sought-after architectural salvage lot of (6) matching authentic antique Japanese Majolica (Wasei Majolica) border frieze tiles. This continuous modular design features a deeply embossed Art Nouveau stylized Scottish thistle blossom in dusty pink/purple, nestled inside rich olive green acanthus leaves against a mint green background field.
The unglazed reverse sides feature the distinctive vertically ribbed corduroy texture panels alongside the official Saji manufacturer stamp. Finished with exceptionally glossy, pooling lead glazes, these 6x3 border pieces are ideal for historic home restoration projects, flanking a fireplace hearth, framing mirrors, or adding vintage character to custom furniture panels.
**Condition Note:**
These are genuine 100-year-old salvaged building materials. They exhibit expected signs of age and prior removal, including fine surface glaze crazing, minor edge rough spots/flea bites, and typical remnants of old mortar or plaster backing on the unglazed reverse sides. The colored glazes remain beautifully vibrant with mirror-like gloss. Please review all high-resolution photos carefully to evaluate exact cosmetic condition before purchasing.
**Shipping & Handling:**
Extremely fragile antique ceramics. These tiles will be wrapped individually in multiple layers of heavy bubble wrap and packed securely in a rigid box to guarantee a completely safe arrival.
