Rare original 1996 Disney/Pixar Toy Story Buzz Lightyear Space Explorer by Thinkway Toys.

This highly collectible vehicle playset was released alongside the original Toy Story line and features electronic lights, sounds, Buzz Lightyear and Woody voice clips, retractable wheels, pop-out wings, storage compartments, and launching space discs.

This example remains factory sealed in its original packaging and includes the original styrofoam inserts and all four space discs.

The packaging displays nicely but does show storage wear accumulated over the years. The box has edge wear, corner wear, creases, tape residue, and some crushing. The bottom tape shows some waving from sitting upright. The clear display window also shows scratches, surface wear and dust on the interior.

Please note that the spaceship itself shows visible paint wear/scuffing and a small paint-loss spot near the cockpit area that can be seen through the sealed packaging.

Additional note: The electronic sound and light features do not appear to function when the “Try Me” button is pressed; this is most likely due to the original batteries being over 30 years old and depleted, though functionality cannot be confirmed without opening the factory-sealed packaging.

A fantastic piece for Toy Story collectors, Disney collectors, or anyone looking to add an original first-generation Buzz Lightyear item to their collection.
