Antique traveller's portable double inkwell.Antique rare portable double inkwell. Leather covered. Brass construction with hand engraved scrolling ornament on the inkwell caps and the surrounding fascia. The box lid opens via a covered button on the front and the spring-loaded inkwell caps flip open when the small levers are pressed.
Inside are the intact original glass ink containers. Overall condition is good and the spring levers work well. A few old ink stains here and there.
Single portables are fairly common, but the double variety are much more scarce.
