SUICIDE 1978 original POSTER ADVERT DEBUT ALBUM Marti Rev Alan Vega

This is an original full page advertisement to promote the UK release of the debut album by the synth-punk duo Suicide

This ad is taken from a 1978 issue of the British music paper NME

Recorded in just four days, Suicide delivered a confrontational sound, combining Martin Rev's droning synthesizers and primitive drum machines with Alan Vega's rockabilly-style vocals and intense nonsense. The album was dead on arrival in the United States, while early UK punk crowds reacted aggressively. These days this album is hailed as a great work indeed
