Here's a beautiful and very uncommon Columbia "Nickeled & Polished Eagle," manufactured in 1898 and better known as the BXP.  It comes with an early brown wax Columbia cylinder, an NOS Columbia Recorder in its original box (cutter and diaphragm still intact) and -- perhaps most noteworthy -- its original and impossibly rare angled-neck nickel horn, identical to the one in the catalog picture I've posted above.

As you can see in the pictures, the phonograph is stunning. Almost every surface has been factory nickel-plated and polished to a mirror-like luster, including the governor weights, the winding key, the motor-housing, the mandrel, the carriage, the feedscrew cover, the bedplate, etc. 

The quality of the plating is exceptional, just scattered areas of light wear consistent with age and authenticity.

The cabinet finish is original, and it's still smooth to the touch. The cabinet decal is original, and it's still crisp and colorful, with virtually no wear. No chipped corners, no damaged veneer. 

The Recorder appears to be unused. The cutter is intact, and there are no marks anywhere. Box is in excellent condition, like new.

The 10" Columbia nickel horn is original, and it's angled neck is still soldered snugly to the barrel. No dings, no dents, just some plating wear to the flashed nickel surface.

The phonograph still runs well, despite being more than 125 years old. Included with the phonograph is the early Columbia brown wax cylinder you see and hear in the video I've posted above.
