  • After opening your steering wheel and removing the original clock spring, please carefully and safely detach the angle sensor from it. Install the sensor onto the replacement clock spring we provided, then reinstall the assembly back into your steering wheel.

Please Read Before Installation:

If your VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control), SLIP, or ABS warning lights illuminate on your dashboard after installing this new clock spring, THIS DOES NOT MEAN THE PART IS DEFECTIVE. Why does this happen?The Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) mounts directly behind the clock spring. When you replace the clock spring, the vehicle's computer loses its "zero-point" or center position reference. If the sensor and the steering wheel are not aligned perfectly at 0 degrees during installation, the system will detect a mismatch and trigger these fault codes for your safety.

How to resolve it:

  1. You MUST perform a Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) Calibration / Zero-Point Reset.

  2. This reset requires a professional-grade OBD2 diagnostic scan tool (a standard cheap code reader or simply disconnecting the battery will NOT clear these specific VDC/SAS codes).

  3. Professional Installation Highly Recommended: We strongly advise having this part installed and calibrated by a certified mechanic to ensure proper alignment and avoid unnecessary system errors.

    1. Point the front wheels STRAIGHT AHEAD before removing the old clockspring.

    2. DO NOT remove the plastic locking pin/clip on the new clockspring until it is fully installed and the steering wheel is properly aligned.

    3. Improper installation, turning the steering wheel before the installation is complete, or failing to center the wheels WILL SNAP the internal ribbon cable instantly.

    *Note: Professional installation is highly recommended. Damage caused by improper installation or buyer error is not covered under warranty and will void the return policy.

    💡 FAQ & Troubleshooting (After Receiving Your Package)

    • 1. Airbag/Fault Light ON or OBD Errors?
      This is completely NORMAL after replacing a clockspring. You must manually clear the fault codes using an OBD scanner to turn off the light.
    • 2. Pins/Connectors don't match?
      Please contact us first! Your original clockspring likely has an integrated Angle Sensor. You simply need to transfer (transplant) your old angle sensor to our new clockspring.
    • 3. Think it doesn't fit? DO NOT OPEN A DISPUTE.
      If you encounter any fitment issues, please do not open a return or case immediately. Send us a message! We will solve the problem for you in the fastest time possible.
