What is Apple ProRes?
Apple ProRes is a professional video codec used in film and TV production, offering higher color fidelity, less compression, and greater flexibility for color grading and editing. However, ProRes files are extremely large—4K/60fps ProRes can consume gigabytes per minute. That’s where the Feiyu Rig Pro comes in.

With external SSD and SD card support, you can bypass your iPhone’s internal storage and record unlimited ProRes footage directly to high-speed external drives. Combined with an active cooling fan, the rig keeps your iPhone running at top performance even during long, high-bitrate sessions.

Yes, it can — but compatibility depends on your specific Android model.
This product is primarily designed for iPhone 15/16/17 Pro series, which natively support external USB-C storage recording.
However, some high-end Android phones also work with the rig and support direct video recording to an SD card, such as:

• Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra
• Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

To enable this feature on Samsung devices, follow these steps:
(1) Go to the Samsung Galaxy Store and download the Camera Assistant app.
(2) Open Camera Assistant → Enable “Save videos to external storage”
(3) Once enabled, connect your phone to the Feiyu Video Rig, and videos will be saved directly to the SD card or SSD.
