I've been collecting brick street pavers from Florida and the Southeast for over 30 years now.

I've decided it's time to let them go so that people can enjoy them, here is one of them:

Tampa had a contract with many brick manufacturers. for millions of bricks. This is one of them.

Of all the cities in Florida, Tampa had the most paver types laid in its streets, over 9 different companies.

I took a photo of a typical brick street in Florida that are still paved. Many have been ripped up or asphalted over, typical of Florida towns

I also took a photo of how these pavers were meant to be laid. Letters on the side not on the top  See, the letters were used to make a gap so sand or tar could be places between the pavers.

Condition:

Good condition for being over 110 years old.

On a scale from 1-10 (10=mint)

I'd grade it an 8

Almost all of these street pavers have chips and many are warn by continuous rubbing of wagon wheels and then car tires.  This particular brick has 1 chips on the top center and a large corner chip on the bottom. It was originally laid face down.  this protected the embossing from any wear.  Has very strong embossing.  NO LETTER OR DIAMOND WEAR.  It also has some salt glaze on the top.
