Vintage Wood Industrial Foundry Mold Pattern. According to the label that was on it when I acquired it, it was for a steam engine part. It is in very good original condition for its age. There are some scuffs and some residue where there had been some fill added to smooth out the blend lines on some of the radii and gaps from shrinkage which is normal. This pattern mold has intricate thin wall construction and several laminated layers which have been crafted together by expert pattern makers. It still has some of the original layout lines visible. The color to me appears slightly more red. It looks to be a bit more brown to me. The size is 7”X8”X2”. 2 of the holes are 1 1/8” and the other 2 are 5/8” . A hanger had been attached at some point.
