My Condition Standards - Often difficult to place cards in these categories and the definitions are not perfect, but I try my best to keep my explanations very honest and hold my selling cards to the same standards as the cards I buy for my own collection. (I have binder collections and hold myself to buy cards that are MP or better.)
- Near Mint (NM): A nearly flawless card; may have 1 or 2 small defects, such as a small scratch or mild whitening or centering issue on the back.
- Lightly Played (LP): Flaws become visible to an untrained eye, although still mild in severity. Often due to a bit of whitening on the back and some corner damage, perhaps significant scratching on a holo.
- Moderately Played (MP): More advanced wear, often in the form of significant whitening. Multiple flaws typically plainly evident. Perhaps a small crease in some cases.
- Heavily Played (HP): Very advanced wear, often in the form of profuse whitening on the back. Many other flaws typically present, like smudging or fading or scratching. Small creases may be evident.
- Damaged (DMG): A card that looks like it has been through the ringe. Creases, folds, rips--you name it. Seems like it's had the "washing machine" treatment
