This listing is for genuine American White Oak rough sawn hardwood, supplied cut to size from kiln dried stock. It is ideal if you want to plane, thickness, rip, sand or machine the timber yourself, but do not want to buy full merchant lengths or pay for timber you are not going to use.

American White Oak is a strong, durable and attractive hardwood with a pale to medium brown colour, a classic oak grain and excellent working properties. It is widely used for furniture making, shelving, cabinetry, joinery, trim, window boards, craft projects and general woodworking.
The timber is supplied rough sawn and unfinished. This means the surface will not be smooth like PAR timber, but it gives you more flexibility if you want to plane, thickness, square or finish the timber yourself.

This is rough sawn timber, not planed all round. The surface will be saw-cut and may show saw marks, roughness, slight variation, natural colour variation, grain variation, small knots, checks, end splits or other natural timber characteristics. Sizes are cut to order and may have a small tolerance. Boards are supplied unfinished with no oil, lacquer or sealant applied. Photos are representative of the timber you will receive.
