- Fans of this New Testament love how they can remove the pages for study and church Bible courses but still keep the overall Testament intact with the binder's 3 ring notebook system. Plenty of room for copious notes, the wide margins complete this ring-bound Revised Standard Version New Testament titled The New Covenant Commonly Called The New Testament of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
- The title page states that the text is translated from the Greek, being the version set forth A.D. 1611, revised in 1881 and 1901, compared with the most ancient authorities and again revised in 1946.
- Uses the Revised Standard Version (RSV) translation authorized by the Division of Christian Education of the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the United States of America.
- Copyright page credits the New Testament text to the Division of Christian Education and notes publication by Thomas Nelson & Sons for the American Bible Society.
- Manufactured in the United States of America as a wide-margin study edition identified as Wide Margin New Test., code RS270WM ABS-1962-2M (17M-N).
- Physical format features an oversized black textured hardcover four-ring binder, with the front cover displaying a circular American Bible Society emblem.
- Inside, each page presents a single-column RSV New Testament text with chapter and verse numbers, extensive bottom-of-page cross-references, and generous blank outer margins for annotations or sermon outlines.
- Sample pages in the photos include passages from the Gospels (Matthew, Luke, John), Acts, Romans, 1 and 2 Corinthians, 1 Thessalonians, Hebrews, and Revelation.
- The ring-bound construction allows pages to lie flat for teaching, preaching, or study use, making this wide-margin New Testament suitable for pastors, teachers, and serious students of Scripture.
- The language of the text is English, translated from the original Greek, in the Revised Standard Version tradition.
• Condition: This 1962 wide-margin RSV New Testament is complete. Black textured binder covers display overall rubbing, scattered white speckling, surface scratches, and corner and spine-end wear with a small exposure at the lower front corner. The circular emblem on the front cover is rubbed with partial loss of the design. The metal ring mechanism is intact and holds pages securely, though several inner margins have vertical brown stains around the ring holes. Numerous pages, especially in Romans, Corinthians, Thessalonians, Hebrews, and other epistles, contain handwritten study notes, outlines, and references in blue ink on the wide margins and facing blanks, including a simple line drawing on one page and a small squared-paper note left near 1 Corinthians. The printed text and footnotes are complete and remain crisp and clear throughout, so the words of Scripture are as legible as the day this jewel rolled off the press.
