Description

This sophisticated two-strand necklace is representative of the quality of Japanese mid-20th century costume jewelry. It is comprised of faux pearl rows externally spiraled and wrapped around gold-tone Milanese mesh strands. Milanese mesh is finely woven metal with a smooth texture that is typically more comfortable to wear than typical mesh and is less likely to catch on your clothing. The end connectors are cast figural sailboats featuring a textured finish with raised rope-twist sail accents. A gold-tone hook closure and a faux pearl extension chain complete the refined, sophisticated style of this piece. One of the end connectors is stamped with a block-letter JAPAN hallmark.
