Fully functional, a very ergonomic vertical mouse, powered by 2 x AAA batteries (not included) and with a plug and play usb dongle for wireless use. 

Now the full story on the cosmetic condition - I bought this myself used on ebay when I was struggling with RSI. The item had clearly been left in the sunshine and the plastic was a bit degraded and felt 'sticky', which I disliked, so I actually spray painted the main surfaces which gave those a smooth glossy finish which felt much better. Obviously spray painting it was a bit fiddly - you can see some paint got on the bottom and the areas around the buttons I steered clear off so there is still some of the older plastic in small areas. 

Its a good mouse - a very nice hand position and you can rest your hand of the base of it so you avoid the 'hovering' motion you use with a normal mouse which can exacerbate RSI. The scroll function wasn't very user friendly though I found, tbh I would recommend if you have RSI get a programmable usb foot switch for scrolling - some free advice for you, best thing I ever did - get a triple pedal one and program one for left click, one for scroll down and one for scroll up.
