1942 Deltagram Magazine - woodworking, crafts, electronics, home projects

For auction is a copy of "The Deltagram", a monthly publication for craftsmen and woodworkers. It is dated November 1942.

"The Deltagram", issued for several decades in the early-middle part of the 1900s, was popular among do-it-yourselfers, as it presented various projects that could be done in the home or home shop. It was issued as an advertising means by The Delta Manufacturing Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Among the products which Delta produced were tools and nails.

This issue has as projects (a) a muffin stand, (b) an end table, (c) a blackout lamp (World War II was ongoing at the time of this issue), (d) a child's machine gun, (e) decorated clothes props, (f) toys, (g) shelf supports, and (h) a typing desk. There are projects to complete in one evening, as well as shop tips. Some projects include construction diagrams.

The magazine measures appx 9x6 inches, contains 40 pages, and is printed on a medium-weight paperstock. For something now over 70 years old, it is in good condition. There are no rips or tears, and the binding is secure with all pages firmly in place. The front cover bears the written name of a prior owner. The covers and some inside pages show moderate soiling.

This is a great item for the handyman or craftsman.
