Here is a rare GREEN wool cloth bag made by Alaskan Tlingit, circa 1875 to 1895~ I have never seen another such bag of Green wool cloth in all the museums in Canada or Alaska~" This is one of a kind" ~Tlingit call such bags "Naakwgweil"~ it is about 10 inches wide by 20 inches, long~ quite a large bag as are most Tlingit ones~ very well done beadwork in traditional style Tlingit designs~it is in very fine conditional overall~ The back side cloth shows that the maker ran out of Gray and finished with Black cloth~ It is not a mistake or patchwork by the artist~ Very nice trade red trade on the inside~ We purchased this bag from Jim Flury's Indian Shop in Seattle on 3/28/1991.
