Japan Kakunodate Denshiro
Obi-tsutsu Tea Caddy (Flat) Samurai residence
Description
New, unused, made in Japan
This item will take approximately 5 to 15 business days to ship. Please note
By shortening the outer cylinder of this tea caddy, the cherry bark of the inner cylinder is revealed, which serves to accentuate the color of the outer cylinder. The entire inner cylinder is covered in cherry bark, and when the outer lid is opened, you can enjoy the contrast with the outer cylinder. Furthermore, the inner lid is deeper than usual and lacks a knob, allowing it to be used as a tea scoop when adding tea leaves to a teapot.
The color is inspired by the black wooden fences lining the samurai residence street in Kakunodate.
