High precision, rugged, all steel drill chuck with B16 mounting taper. Equally suitable for use in drill presses, milling machines or all types of lathes. The jaw opening range is 3-16mm (this is what Axminster quote but the jaws close very precisely (see pictures) and i would use with smaller drills if needed). This chuck fits the optional B16- 1, 2 or 3MT arbors (arbor NOT included). A chuck to upgrade the standard chucks offered on some machines, or as accessories for wood or metal turning lathes.
This is a beast of a chuck compared to what typically comes with a drill press for example, and is of course keyless. Very smooth action. I bought it for a specific job but wasn't needed as when the drill arrived (late!) it had a reduced shank. I have no need for it now. Still in box and covered with protective oil as supplied, never been mounted on an arbor.
