Outstanding 9ct Gold Carnelian Intaglio Fob Seal – Roman Centurion Engraving
An outstanding example of a vintage 9ct gold carnelian intaglio fob seal, featuring intricate decorative metalwork and a beautifully engraved carnelian gemstone. This striking piece has been fully cleaned and polished to restore the detail, and lustre of the gold mount.
The fob is set with a large polished carnelian gemstone, engraved to the underside with a finely detailed Roman / Centurion head intaglio, adding superb character and classical appeal to the piece.
The fob is fully hallmarked to one side, although the hallmark is difficult to photograph due to its placement. A close-up image will be included where possible.
