Antique Eastlake Picture Frame
" Shadowbox ", designed for an 8" x 10 picture or photograph.
American ; Victorian era, circa 1875
Wooden frame, black walnut and composition.
This is a 4 part, multi-level frame .
The four parts of the frame are held together with antique nails at the back.
(see the photos) Mitered corners.
Incised decoration, faux " tortoise shell " decoration, etc.
Double gold inner border and black border with incised " Eastlake " decoration in white.

Good Condition.
All original, with no touch-ups, and no repairs.
The frame has some surface wear, scuffs and signs of age.
( see the photos )
Just very slight surface loss in the gold and black inner areas.
The gold borders are still quite bright.
The four "Eastlake" designs are all in very good condition.
The frame is tight and square.
No glass ( an 8" x 10" sheet of glass is easy to obtain ).
