**To ensure the patch stays attached, wash the garment inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent and avoid using fabric softeners or bleach.  This will prevent the adhesive from loosening or the patch shrinking due to heat. Avoid putting the garment in the dryer, as the heat can also weaken the adhesive.  If you are unsure, consider hand washing to be safe.  Air drying is the preferred method, but if you must use a dryer, select the lowest heat setting.
