Authentic Vintage Rural Australian - 1927 Wedding Portrait – Edie McEwen & Charlie Goddard – Granite Flat Victoria
Original wedding portrait of Edith (Edie) Mary McEwen and Charles (Charlie) Edmund Goddard, who were married on 15 September 1927 at the Granite Methodist Church, Victoria, officiated by Rev. A.G. Day. The bride is pictured in a classic 1920s flapper-style gown with an elaborate lace veil, floral headpiece, and holding a large bouquet of flowers. The groom stands in formal attire with boutonnière. The reverse of the mount includes handwritten inscriptions identifying the couple and recording the wedding details. While the mount board shows some damage at the top, the photograph itself remains in excellent condition with sharp contrast and detail. A rare and historically valuable piece of Victorian wedding and family history, of strong interest to collectors of McEwen or Goddard genealogy, 1920s wedding ephemera, and Australian social history.
Further details about the subjects of this image can be provided to the buyer on request.
