Paul Revere reproduction 12" bowl by Wm. A. Rogers was manufactured between the 1950s and the 1970s (see Fun Facts below). Comes with 13” double spouted Silver-plated ladle marked Italy with back hook, 12 punch cups by FB Rogers, & 2 cups by Towle. The silver-plated punch bowl cups also manufactured between the late 1950s and the 1970s belong to one of most popular mid-century entertaining sets, featuring their signature "Victorian Rose" design motifs. The small sculpted flower or rose thumb-rest located at the apex of the handle serves both a decorative and practical purpose. Functionally, it acts as a "thumb-rest" designed to give the user a secure grip on the tiny, smooth handle while mingling at holiday or wedding cocktail parties. Excellent used and clean condition with no dents, with age appropriate signs of minimal wear. Cups have not been polished, while the bowl and ladle have been.

The Gold-Wash Interior: Many versions of these specific punch cups feature a gold-wash (gilt) interior. This golden layer prevents acidic punch ingredients (such as citrus juices or alcohol) from corroding the silver plating or leaving a metallic aftertaste in the beverage. The History of the "Paul Revere" Design:

The 1768 Original: This silhouette is a direct replica of the historic "Sons of Liberty" bowl designed and hand-forged by patriot silversmith Paul Revere in 1768.

The Rebellion Connection: The original bowl was commissioned by 15 members of the Sons of Liberty to celebrate the 92 members of the Massachusetts House of Representatives who voted against British taxation. The original artifact is currently housed in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.

The Silhouette: The reproduction captures Revere’s signature aesthetic—a clean, unadorned, flared circular rim balanced by a distinctively stepped pedestal base.
