Vintage Japanese Ceramic Clay Bell Kairakuen Garden Plum Blossom Design 1980s

This is a vintage Japanese ceramic clay bell (Dorei) from the historic Kairakuen Garden in Mito,

Ibaraki Prefecture, which is celebrated as one of Japan's three great gardens.

Shaped like a rustic round bulb, it features a charming abstract design hand-painted with white and

plum-colored dots representing the garden's famous Plum Blossoms (Ume). Believed to be from the 1980s,

this charm serves as a traditional lucky souvenir and makes a lovely,

unique addition to any Japanese folk art collection.
