The Boye Needle Master (often styled as NeedleMaster) is a long-standing line of interchangeable knitting needle sets first introduced by the Boye Needle Company in the 1960s. While the specific "Master 100" designation is a vintage variant from that era, the Needle Master system remained a staple for decades until its recent discontinuation around October 2020. Excellent used and clean condition, missing 10 1/2”.
Manufacturing and Sales History: The Boye Needle Company, founded in 1906 in Chicago, was the first American manufacturer of crochet hooks and knitting needles. The Needle Master line has evolved through several decades of production: 1960s: The earliest "Needle Master 100" and standard Needle Master sets were sold during this decade. Rare and hard to find, these often featured a hard plastic case (frequently in olive green) or a textured snap-closure case. Needles made of durable aluminum, this set includes a mixed lot of knitting needles 6 - 10 & 11, 13, 15 (10 1/2” is missing).
Other than needles/needle tips and case, this kit includes: Original instructions, connector tightening key, cables, adapter, coupler, four button ends, & point gripper (original included however it is broken therefore a replacement one is included).
