Rough Rider RR072, Razor Trapper Amber Jigged Bone, 4-1/8" closed, brand new from old stock, thus the "Rider" not "Ryder" name.  Vintage 2000.

Hefty knife, but still easy to carry.  Plaque style emblem with "Rough Rider" in script.  Gorgeous handles.

Never sharpened, never carried, gently cleaned.  Been in my sole possession for over 25 years.

Arced plain (not match strike) pull on the Clip blade, and a straight plain pull on the Razor Trapper blade.  It's nifty to open the Razor blade with a two-finger pinch.  Faint half-stops, no more than a "pause".

Plain (not grooved or notched) nickel silver bolsters, different shape/size on each end.

"Rough Rider" and the "TESTED SHARP" anvil are etched on the Clip blade face, and on the Clip blade tang.

No pits, cracks or chipped handles.  No rust, surface tarnish or spider webs.  The few dark spots on the bottom rails are bleed over dye, not tarnish (see detailed pictures).  Original tan box, in good condition, will be included.

Pictures are of the actual knife the winning Bidder will receive.  The dark brown, deep jigging is impressive.  Fit and finish are very good, truly some of Rough Rider's best on parade.

Blades are sharp right out of the box, and close into their own INDIVIDUAL brass-lined slots, always a classy look, while strengthening the frame.  So, you think you won't like that goofy razor blade?  Think again.  In fact, think of anything you need to slit open . . . boxes maybe.

Would make a dandy knife to carry, and the blades are fun to open, especially the Razor blade with its easy-to-open tip tang or two-finger pinch.  A whole story goes with how it came by the tip, with many Civil War soldiers returning with an arm missing but still shaving with straight razors.  Hook the tip on the edge of a counter, even the top of a belt.

Rough Rider quality rivals Case at a fraction of the price, and enables the affordable carry of collectible grade knives.
