• The studs on the vehicle MUST be shorter than 1¼" before the adapters can be installed. If the studs extend beyond the face of the first adapter, they need to be trimmed or cut.
• If there are clips or retaining rings on the vehicle's studs, they must be removed.
• Installation should be performed by a qualified technician using proper tools.
• It is recommended that the lug nuts are installed manually, instead of with an impact gun or other electronic tool.
• Your vehicle may have wheel studs with a different thread pitch than the lug nuts supplied with these wheel spacers. Lug nuts with a matching thread pitch are needed for proper installation.
• We recommend reinstalling and tightening all lug nuts after 50 miles, and again after 1500 miles.
• No returns or exchanges can be made once the product has been installed.

What Happens When Your Wheel Spacers Fail?

• Sheared off studs
• Premature or sudden wheel bearing failure
• Tire(s) falling off the car

Wheel spacer failure is extremely serious. It can really put you and your passengers in jeopardy. As soon as you start noticing one of your tires wobbling on the road, inspect your wheel spacers as soon as possible.

How to install your Wheel Spacers

Installing spacers is a relatively easy job and can be performed with basic tools and a jack. With your car still on the floor slightly lossen your wheel bolts or nuts to prevent the wheel spinning, a breaker bar may be necessary if they are tight. Once loose the car can be jacked up and the nuts can be removed. Take off the wheel and place to one side.

On an older car you may have developed some corrosion on the brake disc surface. This needs to be nice and clean to mount the spacer so use a wire brush to remove any debris prior to fitting the spacer.

With the surface clean, place the spacer into position and use the nuts supplied with the spacers to secure the spacer to the car. Evenly tighten the nuts in a star formation before torqueing to the manufacturers specification. You may need someone to press the brakes for you while you do this.

With the spacer installed you can now re-fit the wheel. Use the same technique to tighten the wheel nuts as you did with the spacer. Finally, torque the wheels nuts to the manufacturers specifications and lower the car to the ground. Repeat this process on the other axle or all corners, depending on whether you have purchased a pair or a set.

How long can you drive on a spacer wheel?

• around 50 miles

Usually, the maximum speed you can drive on a space saver wheel is 50mph, and although there is no official restriction on the distance you can travel using one, around 50 miles is generally deemed to be the maximum safe distance for usage.
