The Republic of Vietnam Service Medal (VSM) Vintage Military Award from the United States is a collectible item that commemorates the service of individuals during the Vietnam War (1961-75). This original piece of militaria has not been modified and holds historical significance as a military award given to those who served in Vietnam.

This award was authorized on July 8, 1965, for personnel serving in the Vietnam theater between July 3, 1965, and March 28, 1973.  The medal measures approximately 1 1/4 inches in diameter.
