Primitive Antique Brass Latin Apostle
Evangelical Church Altar Sanctuary Bell

a Primitive Antique Latin solid brass Christian church
altar sanctuary bell. Round in shape with a molded
animal motif and Latin inscription, original brass
clapper. This bell was rung by an altar boy during
the consecration of the host at mass (rung 3 separate times).

This came from the old estate of a priest from
Taylor, Pennsylvania, USA. Circa late 1800's. This is
believed to have been made in England as Taylor's
early emigres were predominately English and Welsh.

Latin inscriptions and biblical scenes are inscribed
around the middle: NO MAKERS MARKS.
