It represents two armed hunters, one aiming with his rifle, while the other seems to observe, confronted by an aggressive panther which charges them. This engraving captures the intensity of an encounter with a wild beast during a hunting expedition, illustrating the danger and unpredictability of this practice during colonial times in North Africa.
