Beautiful ~ William Hutton & Sons ~ SILVER Plated ~ 'Heated' SERVING DISH ~ c1900

Description : This serving piece, has a lovely ornate cast beaded rim decoration and attractive cast handle. It has a lovely shape and design. It features a traditional oval form with a beaded border and an ornate, removable, handle.

This has a small capped opening so hot or even iced water can be poured into the base to keep the contents of the dish hot / cold , there is a new replacement gasket.

Condition is good, I have polished this piece, the plate is pretty good, some light wear lid, a smudge of wear to interior and feet. A couple of dimples to one side of base.

There are two side handles on base.

Measures 11 1/2” handle to handle, 8” wide and 5 1/2” tall to top of lid handle. Four feet just enough to raise from table surface.

Made by premiere makers William Hutton & Sons . A fine old usable piece in good order.
