We commissioned these straps from one of our strap makers in Germany.  Our customers were asking for a military style strap but in a fine leather and without all the extra hard wear.  The leather is sourced from free roaming cattle bred in Austria at high altitude…no barb wire fencing so no marks on the leather…just beautifully soft flexible leather.  Because the strap passes over the back of the watch case you have leather in contact with the skin all round…no metal watch back on your wrist.  As with all single pass straps you have the added security…if a spring bar fails the watch still stays attached to your wrist.  The straps are handmade from single cut fine leather at 1.8mm thick so they are suitable for most watches including watches with fixed spring bars.
