An authentic Fine details example of 1818 N-4 R4 plus. A variety with only 1 known to Howard Newcomb when writing his book. It appears to have a V shaped die break emanating from the inner point of the 3rd star as seen in the enlargement photo. All others have a single line at that point. A faint line appears to point to the nostril rather than the mouth and it falls just short of the nostril. A possible new die state with the V shaped break at the 3rd star inside point. A very popular variety and especially so with the die break.
