Description
This is an exhibition poster by Rashid Johnson, an artist who cannot be ignored when talking about contemporary American art.
This is an official poster created for the solo exhibition "Black and Blue" held at David Kordansky Gallery in Los Angeles in 2021, and has the same specifications as the one sold at the gallery shop (24 x 32 inches).
The black and blue strokes overlap in a grid pattern, and the images of "anxiety," "identity," and "memory" shake the screen like noise, making this a work that strongly displays Johnson's characteristic "layers of psychology."
At the solo exhibition, a new group of new works was announced, starting with his representative work "Anxious Men" series, and greatly expanding the color blue from bright sky blue to navy that is almost black. These posters are highly artistic and can bring that mood directly to the wall.
*Poster only, framing not included.
