Description:  IMPORTANT For COLLECTORS TO KNOW: Some of the early Hallmark pins were copied and made in a cheaper version. Although they look the same to the untrained eye, the plastic is lesser quality and thinner, usually by 1/16" thick. In this case, the early pin has a different backing with the 2 raised bars aside the pin assembly. The writing, "MADE IN HONG KONG" is poorly impressed as well. The FAKE version does not have an embossed number whereas the authentic Hallmark pin does. Please know that there ARE authentic Hallmark pins that are marked, "MADE IN HONG KONG" so please know I'm not saying all pins marked this way are not authentic.

I've included pictures of both pins showing front and back views so that you can see the difference. Most pins that you find in this Hallmark hat style will be the look-alike Hallmark pin as this AUTHENTIC version is very difficult to find.

Now more about THIS pin......this RARE and early AUTHENTIC HALLMARK PIN features a green top hat with a flared rim and top. It is adorned with a raised gold buckle and green shamrock.
