"Oh, What a Beautiful Morning"-song- (1943, Rodgers & Hammerstein, from their musical, OKLAHOMA).

From the collection of the late, great David Jasen (1937-2022), whose collection we have on consignment. For those of you encountering his name for the first time,  Dave was also a record producer/reissuer (labels like Folkways, Herwin, Biograph were festooned with his name in the credits),  a ragtime/early jazz/Tin Pan Alley historian par excellence,  a much published writer on similar topics, composer/pianist/raconteur, educator, and the first official biographer of P.G. Wodehouse, with whom he hung around on Long Island 60+ years ago.  For the next few weeks, we'll be listing Dave's large collection/accumulation of songwriter autographs/inscriptions/signatures.  He was a major player, for many years, in the New York Sheet Music Society,  grabbing signatures right and left of composers/lyricists/singers who frequented the meetings.  AND he regularly outbid the competition on auctions.  Bidders should have no qualms, re provenance!
