Primitive wooden saddle stand / harness maker’s bench with clamp attachment. This unique piece combines the function of a traditional saddle stand with a spring-loaded jaw clamp at the top, used historically for leather work, boot making, or tack repair. A rare example of early craftsmanship that served both as a utility bench and a working clamp station.
Condition:
Overall in good primitive condition with expected age and wear. The wood shows the kind of patina and marks that come with long use. The spring clamp still opens and closes. Some areas could use a little TLC, tightening, or conditioning, but the piece remains sturdy and displays very well as it sits.
Features:
• Primitive wooden construction with original hardware
• Saddle stand design with integrated spring clamp
• Great for display, collection, or restoration
• A piece of early harness maker / cobbler history
