1930 GAR 64th NATIONAL ENCAMPMENT REPRESENTATIVE 3-PART BADGE & RIBBON

This listing is for a vintage, authentic GAR (Grand Army of the Republic) 1930 GAR 64th NATIONAL ENCAMPMENT BADGE & RIBBON. The badge is three part bronze and white metal badge with a gold backing ribbon (this ribbon a top split as seen in photos and is stamped 1930 in black on bottom edge). The top bar is a rope-edged bar inscribed "Representative". Atop this is a representation of the eagle from the membership badge with crossed cannons and a stack of cannon balls with a working pin clasp on the back. From the top bar is suspended the first drop, a white metal star, in the center of which is Ulysses S. Grant and a log cabin. Over this scene is a banderole inscribed "Cincinnati, Ohio"; below the scene is inscribed "Birthplace at Point Pleasant, O" and "Ulysses S. Grant". Below this is "GAR". Suspended from this is the pendant which is inscribed "Edwin J. Foster, Commander in Chief" around his portrait. The reverse of the pendant is inscribed "64th National Encampment of the Grand Army of the Republic, Aug 24-29, 1930, Cincinnati, Ohio". The reverse of the star drop is marked "The Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark N.J.". The overall piece measures approx. 5-3/4" long. 4) We do not add insurance unless you pay for it. Signature confirms may be added on any item over $50.00 in value if we feel that it is needed.

PAYMENT

Payment must reach us within 48 Hours of auctions end.(eBay automated system in place) If payment, or contact, isn't received within the time frame, an eBay dispute will be opened. This dispute will be closed and the item will be re-listed. If you have a problem, please contact us and we will try to help resolve it.

RETURNS

All items are sold as-is and sales are final. We no longer accept returns on buyer remorse. We will take returns only if the item was not as described or pictured in the auction and if that is the case the buyer must notify us and return the item within 5 days. If our fault, we pay for return Postage. Please keep damaged package and item for return. We try to provide the most accurate and detailed information about every item listed. Photos sometimes show a hue or glare.

We charge $.75 for handling (this includes packaging and materials for US delivery) US Shipping is by United States Postal Service Only. Please note that First class mail and media mail are mailed in a bubble wrap envelope and may not be able to handle additional protection due to size constraints. We recycle shipping boxes.
