Complete three volume set of The Life and Work of Sigmund Freud by Ernest Jones, published by Basic Books in New York. All three volumes are stated first editions, issued 1953, 1955, and 1957. This is the classic early biography written by one of Freud’s closest collaborators and remains a foundational work in psychoanalytic history.

The set is uniform in original blue cloth bindings with black spine panels and silver lettering. A clean, attractive shelf set with strong eye appeal. Interiors are bright and well preserved with no markings observed. Bindings are tight. Light, typical age toning only. No dust jackets.

A desirable early set for collectors of psychoanalysis, psychology, and intellectual history. Increasingly difficult to find as a complete matching first edition group in this condition.
