The Leica M6J is the ultimate M6 with the traditional craftsmanship of Classic M3. Look closely at the top plate, advance
lever, ridges around the top plate windows (like the M3), the frameline preview and rewind levers and the chromes lens
release.

Unlike the M3, the M6J has TTL metering, hot shoe, motor drive connection, a M4 style rewind crank and a M6 style
battery chamber. The viewfinder is in 0.85x magnification rather than the M3's 0.91x.

It was built to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Leica M starting in 1964. Production was only 1640 units, 40 sets
for each year with special number. Number starts at 1954-01 and ends at 1994-40.

Each M6J set comes with its own Elmar-M 50mm F2.8 Collapsible which shares the same serial number as the camera.
The exterior lens barrel and finish are like the Classic Elmar-M 50mm F2.8. The optical formulate is a modern
improvement over the original.
