Antique (c.1890-1920) figural smoking pipe made of genuine meerschaum with an amber stem in a warm honey-cognac tone. The pipe features a carved figural design with a seated character wearing a hat. It has a strong antique appearance and would make an appealing piece for collectors of antique pipes, tobacciana, or unusual decorative objects.

The bowl and body are carved from meerschaum and show nice hand-worked detail. The amber stem has a semi-translucent look with natural variation consistent with aged amber.

Condition:

Antique condition with clear signs of age, storage, and use.

The meerschaum shows dirt, darkening, and residue in the deeper carved areas, along with age-related wear and surface scuffs. There are small losses, rubs, and minor damage to some of the raised carved details.

The interior of the bowl shows smoking/use residue.

The amber stem has scratches, surface wear, and signs of use. There is a chip/damage at the area of the mouth opening. The stem also does not fit tightly to the pipe. There may also be small internal inclusions and age-related characteristics typical of old amber.

Overall, this is a genuine antique piece with honest age and wear, offered as found / as is. Please review all photos carefully, as they are an important part of the description.
