This is a vintage Dunlap hand plane, an excellent addition for collectors of antique tools or for those looking to restore a classic woodworking instrument. The plane features its original red-painted wooden handles (tote and knob), which show a charming level of wear and patina consistent with age and use. The red paint is chipping away. The metal body exhibits a natural aged finish, and the blade assembly includes the characteristic Dunlap cap iron knob. While showing signs of its history, this tool retains its robust construction, indicative of its era. A great piece for display, restoration, or light use after proper sharpening and tuning. Please review all images for a detailed look at its condition.  Has a distinct odor of having lived in a garage with a wood burning stove.  Smells somewhat like smoke.
