Two unique elk antler spikes from the Piceance Creek area of the western slope of the Colorado Rockies.

The antlers are non-typical with their different tines. Most elk spikes I have recovered are straight spikes with barely any deviation from the main beam.

These two have several secondary tines coming off the main beam. They measure approximately 18” and 22” give or take an inch.

These spikes were found on the western slope of Colorado about 45 miles north of Rifle.

They were most likely outdoors in the elements for 1 1/2 years. They’re not quite chalky whites but have been bleached from the sun.
