This flax hatchel is an antique primitive tool consisting of woo, metal nails, and sheet metal. This original piece is designed for combing and separating flax fibers. It was found among a small group of antique dolls and comes with a couple hair wigs possibly intended for use with dolls.
The hatchel measures about 6-1/4 inches by 3 inches. It’s about 2-1/4 inches tall. The tool is a bit distressed but still appears functional.
